SRE/DevOps Engineer, Audio Engineer

I’m seeking an opportunity to be part of a collaborative goal in the success of a company’s overall performance and growth in today’s ever advancing operations of information technology.

Knowledge of software development cycle, (scrum, agile) infrastructure development, production support, automation deployment and configuration services utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and Docker. Experience with cloud services, (GCP, AWS) Linux/Unix Administration, Python, and Javascript.

Python Project: Writing scripts that interact with the operating system and Gmail API by creating a service account in GCP with OAuth 2.0 credentials to send email notifications when certain files are created locally.

Jenkins and Packer Projects: Using Packer to create golden AMIs with Jenkins, the AWS cli, and Python bootstrapped. Ansible was used as a provisioner in the Packer file to ensure all dependencies were met to properly configure everything. I also included a Python script to parse the Packer manifest file and return the AMI ID and region data.

Terraform Project: Writing Terraform for different cloud architecture projects involving standing up highly available microservices. Running multiple workspaces in Terraform Cloud for use with different environments. Writing Terraform code that creates files locally for my use in personal projects.

Cloud Resume Challenge: Building a static website (the one you are viewing!) to showcase my resume. I used Terraform to build out all of the infrastructure in AWS and I used Github Actions for my CI/CD pipeline. New deployments of both the frontend and the backend are triggered when code is pushed to the two different repositories. I had fun working through this challenge and I definitely learned a lot.

Service Desk Technician at NEXT7IT 07/2023 - Present

Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related queries, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and customer service to resolve issues efficiently and improve user satisfaction.

Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting for a diverse set of technologies including FortiClient VPN, Fortigate firewalls, Microsoft services and applications, Active Directory, Azure, Unifi switches and access points, Crashplan, and StorageCraft.

Collaborate closely with IT teams and stakeholders to implement IT solutions and projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services and infrastructure.

FOH/A1 and A2 at VCI Event Technology 11/2018 - Present

Operational knowledge and networking knowledge of video/audio playback devices, audio consoles, wireless systems, comms, audio recorders, video processors, projectors, editing equipment. Networking and configuration of multiple computers, audio, and video devices using Cisco switches, Dante Controller software, Clear Com interfaces, Clear Com software. Using multiple wireless access points to network all devices in heavily trafficked environments.

Coordination with clients such as Boeing, Stryker, and Disney to meet the technical demands required for live events and broadcast productions such as Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Dedication Moment.
